Illusions because you see, they really are terrible. Also, I like the word illusion. ILLUSION!

"The object of art is to stir the most divine and remote chords which make music in our soul. Man is hungry for beauty. There is a void. We spend our days looking for the secret of life. Well, the secret of life is in art." -Oscar Wilde
"A poet is someone who is astonished by everything." -Anon.

More quotes: "Draw a crazy picture,
Write a nutty poem,
Sing a mumble-gumble song,
Whistle through your comb.
Do a loony-goony dance
'Cross the kitchen floor,
Put something silly in the world
That ain't been there before."
-Shel Silverstein

"The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep
And miles to go before I sleep."
-Robert Frost, Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening

"'Beauty is truth, truth beauty,' -- that is all
Ye know on Earth, and all ye need to know."
-John Keats, Ode On A Grecian Urn

"Take this kiss upon the brow! And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow--
You are not wrong who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream."
-Edgar Allan Poe, A Dream Within A Dream

"You see things as they are and ask, 'Why?' I dream things as they never were and ask, 'Why not?'" -George Bernard Shaw

"If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain." -Emily Dickinson

"You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you mad." -Aldous Huxley

"Some authors should be paid by the quantity NOT written." -Anon.

Illusions of Poetry

I'm throwing caution to the wind! Actually, there's only one person who reads this blog really so I'm not-but whatever. Here's my freshly edited work of fiction. Editing by Neil.

Websters Dictionary

I am not what yall would call smart, which my mama says is a real shame cause my daddys got himself a head full of book learning. He went straight on through college and all and now he teaches other people. He teaches em things like whats goin on in our world, and why we all make wars with each other. He used to teach about peace more, but now its all about hate.
There is less and less hope for peace to come to our world, is what he told me when I asked, of course he also told me aint aint a word, but yall know what? Aint is right there in the dictionary. I know it cause I got Websters College Dictionary in my room, of course that book comes right out and says, aint is more common in uneducated speech than educated I told yall I wasnt that bright though, so I guess I can use it as a word if I want.
I open up my dictionary more times a day than I can count, I aint so great at math either, but I probably could count the times if I wanted to, thats just a way of sayin things diffrently. I love my Webster cause I like to know what people are sayin, yall know what I mean? Like if somebody says run they could mean at least 137 things according to my Webster, and of course if somebody uses a word I dont understand I look it up and then I do.
Yesterday my father told me I was nave because I thought there could be peace; that was a hard one to look up, I didnt know how to spell it right at all. I tried nieve, neive, and all kinds of things, but in the end I just decided to read the whole N section til I found it, and there it was on the first page! But Ill tell you, what I read tryin to understand just muddled me up a lot worse! I had to look up unaffected, and I had to work out what simplicity of nature might mean all for myself, and that was only the first definition!
But yall know what? Nave is a funny word, not funny like if I were to tell yall the joke about the man with the wood eye, but funny like I think its got a million meanings cause I think really were all nave according to Webster. The only person I ever knew who didnt show a lack of experience, judgment, or information once or twice was my Grandmama, and I doubt theres many more around like her. So I think maybe Im not nave, maybe Im just hopeful. It seems an awful shame to me that the two might get mixed up sometimes, how bout yall?
